“Sangili” is the latest Sinhala film by Lalith Pannipitiya which is due to start screening at the end of this year. Lalith Pannipitiya’s first film was ”Political Jokes” and “Sangili” is his second film. The film is about a girl whose life change after an unfortunate incidence. The main role of this film “Sangili” is by Dulani Anuradha who was introduced to Sinhala cinema by Jackson Anthony with a role in “Abba” film.

The theme of the film is “When a woman is against a woman” and the story shows what a girl growing up in a village under parents care had to face in life.



The shooting of this film has been done in a beautiful Kalundawa village in Dambulla. The production cost of the film is Rs. 8 millions.
